Winter Preparation Workshop
Hosted by the farm and conducted by Ted Jones of Jones Apiaries, these hands-on sessions run from spring through fall each year. The workshops take individuals through various steps of backyard beekeeping, from hive assembly and bee introduction to detecting disease and preparing the hive for winter.
Class size is limited to 30 so please RSVP to let us know you are coming. Suggested donation of $10/pp at the event to support apiary management and beekeeping education at the farm. Veils available for your use. You are strongly encouraged to wear a bee suit or long sleeves, long pants and closed-toed shoes for beekeeping workshops.
