Produce Donations
Since forming in 2010, Massaro Community Farm has maintained a commitment to donating at least 10% of our annual harvest to local health, human service and hunger relief agencies in the Greater New Haven and Naugatuck Valley region. Donations have averaged approximately 6,500 pounds per year.
Each week throughout the spring, summer and fall, the farm sets aside a portion of its harvest to be picked up by partner agencies or delivered to members of the community in need. We grow year-round, so produce donations are sometimes available in the winter months as well. In addition to recurring partners who receive fresh vegetables from us weekly throughout the season, we make every effort to honor requests for one-time donations.
