Produce Donations

Since forming in 2010, Massaro Community Farm has maintained a commitment to donating at least 10% of its weekly harvest to local hunger relief, a threshold it often exceeds. Donations average 6,200 pounds per year, in 2021 we donated 8,400 lbs of produce and more than 500 dozen eggs! If you'd like to be considered as a recurring food donation partner, please contact Caty Poole in the farm office at (203) 736-8618. We greatly appreciate hunger relief agencies being able to pick up the produce at the farm, as our delivery capabilities are limited.

Each week throughout the spring, summer and fall, the farm sets aside this dedicated portion of its harvest to be delivered to neighbors in need who cannot afford to subscribe to our CSA. We also work closely with hunger relief agencies to educate recipients about our fresh organic produce, providing descriptions and recipes for use.

In addition to recurring partners who receive fresh vegetables from us weekly throughout the season, we make every effort to honor requests for one-time donations. Contact the farm office with inquiries about produce donations - (203) 736-8618.
