Planned Giving
We can carry out your philanthropy in a way that makes the most sense for you, including:
Bequests – With simple language in a will or other estate plan, you can make a gift to Massaro Community Farm in cash, stocks, tangible property, etc.
Qualified Charitable Distribution from an IRA – if you are age 70½ and older and have a traditional IRA, you can designate all or a portion of your retirement fund distribution to Massaro Community Farm. A qualified charitable distribution to Massaro can satisfy all or part of the required minimum distribution from your IRA.
Donor Advised Fund – Set up a fund that allows you to make charitable donations.
Charitable Gift Annuity – set up a fund that provides you and Massaro Community Farm with income.
Through our partners at The Community Foundation and Valley Gives Back we can assist you in determining the best giving options.
Make a gift to one of our established funds:
- The Get Outdoors Fund with the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven. Help ensure continued outdoor education, long term care of our acreage, and support of families at risk.
- The Jon Gorham Sustainability Fund with the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven. Increases the awareness and promotion of the use of renewable energy technologies, sustainable agricultural practices, local food production, sustainable living practices and the educational programs that explain their benefit.
- The Massaro Farm Legacy Fund with the Valley Community Foundation. Established with funds from Paul & Judith DeCoster to ensure the farm will be here to provide food and farm programming for future generations.
