Join us in the fourth installment of our Health & Wellness Series at Massaro Community Farm.
Come together with us to celebrate the bounty of the season! Bring your favorite dish and recipe to share that showcases a seasonal favorite from your garden or from your favorite local farm. We’ll share our own tips, tricks and secrets for prepping and serving some of our summer favorites, AND get recipe suggestions for those unique items (what IS kohlrabi?) as we sample each other’s special dishes.
Not feeling very creative with summer veggies? No worries. Bring your appetite and join us anyway and take away some great ideas.
All season long we will be highlighting the benefits of eating local, seasonally available foods, and offering tips for preserving your harvest and preventing premature spoilage. You will walk away with recipe ideas for easy, in season meals.
All workshops in this series will be led by Certified Holistic Health & Nutrition Counselor, Sharon See, of Vitalized Wellness from Shelton. All ages are welcome. Suggested donation of $10/pp per class. Registrants accepted on a sliding scale. Please RSVP: www.Eventbrite.com
Join us at Massaro Community Farm as we plant Natives to expand and restore pollinator habitats!
Please come dressed in loose comfortable clothing and farm appropriate footwear. Hat & sunscreen are always a good idea. Only steady rain cancels. Light refreshments will be provided.
