Come out for a walk or a short ride to test out your bike as we get ready for spring cycling and the big Earth Day Event – Rock to Rock 2023! We’ll have a skilled bike technician who can help make sure your bike is in tip-top shape.

Farm after school programs allow your child to have a hands on experience here at Massaro Community Farm. Participants spend time getting our garden beds ready for sowing, planting seeds and seedlings, caring for chickens, exploring the nature trail, learning basic survival skills and other fun & educational activities.
Transportation from schools to the farm. Program runs for 8 weeks and skips Easter week. Only 2 spots left for Woodbridge!
*Higher cost for Woodbridge after school reflects higher pricing for busing students to the farm.
Summer Camp is Back at Massaro: Two Programs
Youth Summer Camp (ages 5-9)
Enroll your child in this all outdoor camp where they’ll explore the 57 acres of fields and woods that make up Massaro Community Farm. During this full-day program, campers will plant and harvest in the farm’s Learning Garden, care for chickens and other livestock, and explore the farm’s woods and wetlands. Each day is a mix of structured and free play with games, snacks, and crafts. This small group program will familiarize your child with the daily workings of an organic vegetable farm.

Tween Camp (ages 10-13)
Specifically formulated for the budding environmentalist, this program will focus on ecology and forestry. Campers aged 10-13 will dig deeper into concepts such as water conservation, wildlife on the farm, land stewardship, and basic building skills. This is a three-week comprehensive program where each week builds upon the skills of the previous one. Each day is a mix of structured and free play, with the majority of time spent in the farm woods. This small group program will educate as well as build resiliency and self-sufficiency in your budding teen.

Last Call for Summer Youth Applications
Apply now to be a member of our 2023 Summer Youth Crew. The youth crew works side by side with the rest of the farm staff to grow vegetables and tend to our chickens. This is an hourly position with a pay rate of $15/hr. The program runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday mornings from 8am-12pm. The youth crew will start on Tuesday, June 20 and finish on Friday, August 11. A more detailed description can be found on our website.
Interested applicants should send an email Youth Crew Supervisor MC Whelan with the subject line “SUMMER YOUTH CREW APPLICATION.” Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.

Build a Fairy House for
Celebrate Spring 2023

Are you a local artist or know someone who is?We are looking for fairy house builders for Celebrate Spring 2023! These houses will line our fairy trail that travels around the farm.
This annual event draws 500+ visitors!
Please RSVP your fairy house by May 1; Fairy houses must be dropped off at the farm by May 17. Those interested should reach out to coordinator, Dylan Vitale via email or call the farm office at (203) 736-8618.

Celebrate Spring 2023

The farm is seeking vendors for Celebrate Spring 2023! Celebrate Spring is the official seasonal opener of the farm where organic farm seedlings are on sale, and visitors can walk the farm trail to find dozens of fairy houses. Artisan vendors offer up everything from boutique body lotions to hand carved spoons to books to fairy crowns. Would you like to join us as a vendor this year? Unique and locally made items preferred. $30/stall
