Register for Spring Programs
Registration is now open for our spring session of after school at the farm for students ages 6-10. Sign up today for this small group size program that reconnects children with how and where their food is grown. April 26-June 7, 2018 3:30-5:30pm Field Trip Season We’re also taking bookings for farm-based educational field trips April through June and September through November. Call the farm office (203-736-8618) or email our education director to reserve a day for your class to visit the farm. Scholarships available. |

Co-host Series Continues:
Massaro and Woodbridge Library Wednesday, February 28, 2018, 6:00pm – Screening of “Fresh,” an illuminating look into our food production system, followed by a short discussion led by Shannon Raider-Ginsburg, former farm manager at Common Ground High School. Seasonal snacks served! Followed by… Reconnect with us at the library W ednesday, March 28, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. for a potluck supper following our Annual Meeting. organized by Massaro Community Farm. Toward the end of the potluck, there will be a short discussion on seasonal eating, led by Meg Fama of Farm Belly Food Truck Bring a dish to share that is delicious, healthy, and in keeping with late winter/early spring produce (think root crops and hearty greens). Main and side dishes, salads, and desserts are all welcome. Check out a cookbook from the Woodbridge Library’s extensive collection for inspiration. Paper plates, bowls, napkins, cutlery, drinks, and cups will be supplied. The final event in this series will be Cooking with Herbs & Spices from Your Garden on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, 6:00 pm. These events are FREE but space is limited. Please sign up in advance online or call the Woodbridge Town Library (203-389-3433) to hold your spot. |

Join the Farm Crew ![]() We are hiring for several positions, including farm staff, a farm market manager, and admin support. Check out the full job descriptions HERE and email farm manager Steve Munno if you’re interested. The farm is also looking for its next FoodCorps service member. With base operation at the farm, explore this AmeriCorps service that places service members in communities where school gardens and nutrition education are lacking, and where childhood obesity is high. Join the Massaro Melonheads this spring as we cruise across New Haven in the annual Rock to Rock Earth Day Ride. Join fellow Earth enthusiasts who come out to support the farm and other environmentally-focused organizations all working to make Greater New Haven a greener, healthier community. Massaro Community Farm Annual Meeting![]() 5:30-6:30pm, just before our March potluck event at Woodbridge Town Library. Visit with us to see how you can help shape what happens at the farm this season. Curious to learn more? Want to know where our food donations are going? Interested in volunteering or hearing about what we are doing on our land? We’re also looking for youth or adults to help us care for new animals at the farm as we expand our educational offerings. Speak with farm staff, board and committee members about these and other opportunities for engagement. We are an open, inclusive organization and invite all in the community to be active in protecting a historic farm and providing an open space where they can engage in the beauty of the landscape, learn, and have fun!
