The Education Committee is largely responsible for overseeing educational programming activities at the farm. This committee is made up of both board and non-board members. We always welcome new members. If you have an interest in farm-based education or just want to hear about what we’re doing, these meetings generally take place the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm. Please call the farm office (203-736-8618) to confirm time and location.
This 6 week class will be held on Sundays beginning January 15th from 10am – 1pm. Program will skip February 19th and conclude on February 26th.
Encourage outdoor learning and discovery by sending your child to Massaro Community Farm for its Explorer Series! This program will engage children ages 7-11 to embrace outdoor activities, no matter what time of year. Participants will identify animal tracks on the trail, build a survival shelter, enjoy (safe) time by the fire, observe the change in seasons, and understand how our lives impact environmental health. Led by environmental educator Jim Matheson.
Massaro Farm offers a full day of activities and outdoor adventures, for children ages 6-11, exploring the farms fields and wood on January 16 from 8:30am-3:30pm. Children should bring a reusable water bottle, lunch, and weather-appropriate clothing. Snack will be provided during programming. Program runs rain or shine. Space is very limited. $60/per child.
