History: 207 rimmon road

Preview of version: 1 (current)

Located east of the intersection with Racebrook Road, this house is sited on a level lot on the north side of the highway and faces southwest.

207 Rimmon Road is a two-over-three bay house with a shed-roofed facade porch, which is supported by turned posts and elaborated with sawn brackets. The eaves are enhanced with exposed rafter tails and small consoles. There is a one-story wing on the right elevation and an enclosed porch at the rear. Most of the windows contain 2-over-2 sash.

Although the title is unclear, this house was probably built by Otto C. and Frances R. Dauenhauer about the turn of the century. At some later date, at least by 1950, it came under the ownership of the LaMont? family. In 1988 it was quit-claimed to the present owners but remained in the family.
