History: 1056 johnson roadPreview of version: 1 (current)This house sits well back from the west side of lower Johnson Road below the Wilbur Cross Parkway. 1056 Johnson Road is a Greek Revival farmhouse with a gable-to-street orientation. The entry portico on the left of the three-bay facade has columns with such broad flutes that they appear hexagonal, rather than circular in section. Fluted pilasters also flank the door. There is a rectangular multi-paned window in the fully pedimented gable. One-story shed-roofed shallow additions have been added on both side elevations and there is a large addition at the rear.
