This house is set back from the road and faces north.

118 Ansonia Road is a early twentieth-century vernacular house with a cross-gabled roof. There is an enclosed porch added at the rear. The two-bay facade and the intersecting right wing are connected by an open wraparound veranda. It is supported by slim columns and has a shallow hipped roof. The front gable is highlighted by a panelled bargeboard and a small two-paned rectangular window. An exterior brick chminey is found on the left elevation.

A well-preserved and representative example of the cross-gable form, this house was built by 1912 when Abraham Dinniman bought the property from Frank A. Baldwin. Members of the Dinnimam family were still living here in 1966, but by then the original 102 acres had been subdivided into smaller parcels and was nolonger used for farming. John and Jane Bodak were the next owners of the house and lived here until 1982.
